Testimonials (Parents)

Coach Montgomery,

As you know, Wesley Schelling has been training with you for over two years and will be on a football scholarship at Vanderbilt University starting this summer. Without question your outstanding teaching of the mechanics of long snapping have led to Wesley having a long term and sustainable snapping motion that promotes injury prevention and consistent performance. Your explanations to me, and Wesley, of the proper movement during the snapping motion stand out as both memorable and easy to incorporate.

In addition to the snapping mechanics, as a father, I especially enjoy the guidance you have provided to Wesley in other areas. Your teaching of hand and forearm strength exercises, proper stretching and injury avoidance are a huge part of a player having a long career at the high school and collegiate levels. Your knowledge of the college recruiting process for long snappers is impressive. Your guidance about the proper use of exposure camps, unofficial visits to universities, junior days at universities, and the like, was dead on target. Your honesty with each of the players presents a real and accurate assessment of where each player fits in to the college football landscape, whether it be D1, D2, D3, etc. I see why college football coaches are contacting you when they are looking for a long snapper.

Impressed,

Doug Schelling

Craig,

The Summer prior to Josh’s junior year, he made a decision to seek out help in learning how to longsnap. We attended Saturday Night Lights for a one day event with Montgomery LongSnapping Academy. You welcomed Josh and every player with a smile, encouraging words and quick tips on snapping. Josh left that night full of hope as well as excitement for the future. We returned for the second day of camp and left with a new friend/Coach.

As Josh’s Senior year comes to a close, we wanted to take the time to thank you for all you have done!  You have helped Josh grow into the snapper that he is. You make your lessons fun while teaching technique. You encourage these boys and teach them more than football. You give them advice on how to get their name out to college coaches and you also helped us as parents navigate the crazy world of recruiting.

With your help, Josh reached his goal of playing college football with a scholarship!!

Thank you so much!!

High School football may be over, but Josh is just getting started! We look forward to you continuing the journey with us!!

Thanks for all you have done,

The Curray Family
